About Spiralyze
Spiralyze is a conversion rate optimisation agency known for testing and design work that raises its clients’ conversion rates. Its client list and results were strong, but its search authority did not match its standing.
In a competitive marketing market, Spiralyze needed to rank for searches from buyers ready to hire an agency, such as “ecommerce conversion rate optimisation agency”, against competitors with stronger link profiles. That meant more authority, sent directly to the service pages that bring in clients.
Goals
The campaign focused on building authority around Spiralyze’s two main services.
- Raise domain rating to 60: move the site into a higher authority range, so its service pages can compete for commercial searches.
- Link to service pages: send links to the ecommerce conversion rate optimisation page and the landing page optimisation page, not just the homepage.
- Use clear anchor text: use plain, descriptive anchor text such as “increase conversion rates” so Google understands what Spiralyze does.
Strategy
Sentosa treated Spiralyze’s two main services, ecommerce and landing pages, as separate projects and built links for each.
- Ecommerce conversion rate optimisation. We secured links from sales software and online store software websites to the ecommerce conversion rate optimisation page, using anchor text such as “improve conversion rates” and “boosting conversions of your e-commerce store”.
- Landing page optimisation. To reach business-to-business buyers, we placed links on software websites pointing to the landing page optimisation page. A link from a design website pointed to Spiralyze for “best mobile website design”, supporting its design work.
- Brand mentions. We secured places for Spiralyze in “best agency” lists on marketing websites, so it appears when buyers compare agencies.
Results
In six months, Spiralyze nearly doubled the number of websites linking to it and moved into a higher authority range.
- 5351,026Referring domains
- 5560Domain rating
- Referring domains up 92%, from 535 to 1,026. Nearly 500 more websites linked to Spiralyze by the end of the campaign.
- Domain rating up 5 points, from 55 to 60. The site reached its highest domain rating to date.
- 27 high-authority links secured. All pointed to the service pages that bring in clients.

Conclusion
Spiralyze shows that an agency’s service pages need links of their own. By building links directly to its ecommerce and landing page services, Sentosa gave Spiralyze the authority to compete for the searches that bring in new clients.
Summary
To rank for agency searches, an agency needs authority on its service pages.
- Key lesson: send high-quality links to your service pages, not only your homepage, to build authority where it brings in clients.
- Impact: referring domains up 92% and domain rating up from 55 to 60 in six months.
